Context

Imagine you’re a sales rep handling multiple prospects at once, and you need actionable data to guide your next steps. With Ask Buddy, the tool analyzes interactions and delivers tailored recommendations to help you engage more effectively, close deals faster, and prioritize high-potential leads—all in real time.

My Role: Product Designer

Research & Competitor Analysis

This helped me identify best practices for balancing in-depth data presentation with a simplified, intuitive user experience. Accessibility considerations were also prioritized, ensuring that key information was easy to find without overwhelming the user.

Reducing Cognitive Load 🧠

I simplified the layout to focus on key tasks, reducing distractions and helping reps focus on what matters most.

Made Prompt Library which centralizes all sales messaging templates in the Prompt Library by the sales managers and admins, giving reps easy access to relevant, persona-driven prompts that save time and improve response quality.

This enables reps to customize prompts based on specific sales strategies and buyer personas, allowing for tailored responses that ensure consistent and effective communication.

The Launch

Ask Buddy was finally launched and we started to get real user feedback. Sales reps quickly embraced the tool, appreciating how it streamlined their workflows and provided actionable insights. I’ve been constantly tweaking and improving Ask Buddy based on user feedback, making it easier for sales teams to close deals faster and engage more effectively with every update.

Impact

After launching Ask Buddy, I saw more engagement with prompts and suggestions. Sales reps loved the simple interface and easy navigation, especially new users. The Prompt Library made info more accessible, and chat usage increased too.

Learnings

One key takeaway from this project was the importance of prioritization. With so many possible features, it was essential to focus on core user needs and business objectives. By prioritizing the most impactful elements, I ensured that the redesigned Ask Buddy interface was both effective and aligned with the primary jobs-to-be-done, rather than being cluttered with low-value additions.
